If so, our Finance Team is looking for you to join us as our new Payroll Administrator.

We're seeking a system-oriented Payroll Administrator to provide crucial support to the Payroll Manager, In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring timecard compliance, generating variance reports, and maintaining the financial integrity of employee compensation. If you're a recent graduate who is process-oriented and organized, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Note this position is a completely on-site role based out of our Head Office in Markham, ON. It is considered an entry-level to intermediate level with the opportunity to develop into a more advanced role in the future.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



Payroll Processing & Compliance:

Assist the Payroll Manager in the end-to-end management of weekly payroll processing, including accurate calculations, ensuring compliant and punctual employee compensation.

Timecard Management:

Monitor and follow up on all timecard entries and reported variances, ensuring the timely and efficient resolution of issues to maintain the flow accurate data.

Reporting:

Provide weekly reporting on payroll specifically highlighting changes in hours, deductions, or status to aid in financial analysis.

Administrative Support:

Support accounts receivable collection efforts during down time, utilizing non-payroll hours to assist the broader finance team's cash management efforts.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:



Educational Foundation:

College graduate with payroll or finance foundations and experience. Diplomas and Certificates in payroll are an asset.

Work Ethic:

Admirable process orientation skills and highly organized, with an ability to manage and execute precise, recurring weekly tasks.

Communication & Attitude:

Excellent social skills, enabling clear and positive interaction with staff and managers.

Technical Skills:

Highly system oriented with proven ability to utilize Microsoft tools such as Excel and rapidly master new enterprise and payroll software.
