Payroll Administrator-1747

Regular Full Time Position- Chilliwack

Salary- $47,392.49 to $54,350.69 per annum (35 hrs per week)

POSITION SUMMARY:



The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, performing various clerical and accounting tasks such as data management and keeping employee information that is relevant to payroll purposes up to date. The Payroll Clerk is a member of the Finance team and provides support to other roles within the Finance and Human Resources departments as required. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:



Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school would be an asset. Minimum 1 year working experience required. Work experience in accounting preferred. Experience using ADP-Workforce Now & Synerion would be an asset Demonstrated knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws required. Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail required. Clear written and verbal communications. Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner. Good time management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Good data entry skills. Able to maintain confidential information. Demonstrated knowledge of clerical accounting and bookkeeping procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of payroll processing procedures. Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices. Strong mathematical skills. Passing of criminal background check required. Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization. Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Work well in a team environment. Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
