Nustadia Recreation Inc. (NRI) is one of the North American leaders in the consulting, development and operation of recreation facilities through community partnerships. NRI manages and staffs' multiple recreation facilities across Canada and requires a full-time detailed oriented individual familiar with payroll and general accounting duties. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys focused, detail-oriented work in an independent setting. Duties
Payroll
Review of multiple facility payrolls.
Provide guidance, support and training for facility payroll clerks.
Preparation of corporate payroll.
Payroll related reporting.
Accounting
Preparation of the monthly financial statements for several Nustadia managed facilities.
Corporate accounts receivable and accounts payables.
Assist CFO with accounting related duties.
Working towards becoming subject matter expert on facility financial systems.
Review of facility compliance with Nustadia Financial Best Practices.
Administration
Company benefit administration.
Orientation of new Full Time Employees.
Assignment of Online Legislative Training for all employees.
Assist HR VP where needed.
General administrative duties.
Qualifications
Experience working in a professional environment preferably with bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities.
Education (Diploma/Degree in Accounting, or equivalent work experience).
Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll practices.
Experience using external payroll system (e.g., Dayforce would be an asset).
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage would be an asset).
Strong MS Excel skills.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
Must be flexible to take on new duties as they arise.

Work Environment/Details
Full-time, permanent position.
Based at NRI's Calgary corporate office (just north of downtown).
Hybrid work environment with occasional opportunities to work from home.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
