LTS Protective Services is currently looking for experienced, enthusiastic, customer-service-oriented individuals to fill many Full-Time day, evening and night shifts in a Residential Condominium Concierge/ Patrol Security Guard position.Please only apply if you have the willingness and ability to work day, evening or night shifts on full-time basis.Wages are industry-competitive and site-specific. • Provide protection to the tenants/guests.
• Provide assistance/ support by answering customer inquiries and direct as required.
• Observe floors and stairways ensuring that they are clear of debris, obstructions and fire hazards and that access doors to sensitive/priority areas are locked. Be alert to deficiencies in the physical building which could cause injury or loss of client's assets.
• Control traffic flow and issue Parking Violations. Check for abandoned vehicles and ensure they are removed from client's property. Ensure Fire routes are not blocked.
• Enforce client's rules, regulations, Provincial statutes and Municipal by-laws.
• Assist Police and Medical Staff when required.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service to Clients, Customers, Contractors and Visitors of client's property.
• Be thoroughly familiar with the "Powers of Arrest" and other directives contained in the company Security Manual, which includes Emergency Procedures and Employee Guidelines.
• Ensure that only those persons who have proper credentials and identification are permitted access to the client's property
• Monitor all persons to prevent unauthorized removal of client's property.

• Perform routine property patrols and respond to Fire Alarms.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
• Follow up with daily documentation in your memo book notes and incident reports as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSKnowledge

• Knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act, Provincial Offences, Criminal Code Citizen Powers of Arrest (Section 494) and Liquor Licences regulations.
• General knowledge of Security Access and CCTV systems.
• General knowledge of Security Industry and fire safety regulations
• General understanding of office procedures and company protocol
• General knowledge of Health and Safety practices

Skills

• Conflict resolution skills

Education and Experience

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent
• One to two years of experience
• Courses in Security or related to training
• First Aid/CPR training and/or certification
• PSISA Security Guard License

Working Conditions

• Standing and walking required for the majority of work time.

• Regular interruptions, multiple demands and time pressures.
• Must be able to stand, sit, walk for long periods of time, including up and down stairs.

Schedule:Full Time

• 8 hour shifts
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night Shifts
• Monday to Friday
• 6pm-6am Continental rotation also available.

Part-Time

• 12 Hour shifts
• Saturdays and Sundays

Typical shifts are mornings (8 am to 4 pm), evenings (4 pm tp midnight) and nights (midnight to 8 am). Weekend shifts are usually 12 hours (6am to 6pm and 6pm-6am). If you can work anytime, please write 24/7. Otherwise, please specify.
