As a Patient Watch professional with Paladin Security, you will be responsible for monitoring the safety, security, and confidentiality of patients who may present a danger to themselves or others. This role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to stay calm in high-pressure situations.
You'll be supporting hospitals in Whitecourt and surrounding rural areas, ensuring a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and ensure patient safety, reporting changes to hospital staff.
Maintain detailed logs and incident reports.
Use de-escalation techniques to handle difficult situations.
Communicate clearly via two-way radio and computer systems.
Stay alert and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Respect confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Work day, night, and weekend shifts as required.
Requirements:
Requirements (Must-Haves):
Live within 1 hour of Whitecourt, AB
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable vehicle
Must be at least 18 years old
Must have a clean criminal record
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
Availability for overnight and weekend shifts
Preferred / Assets (Nice-to-Haves):
Basic Security Training, First Aid, or CPI training
Previous healthcare or security-related experience
Strong customer service background
