Job Summary
The Patient Services Partner (PSP) is responsible for the provision of patient care to a specific group of patients under the supervision of Regulated Health Care Professionals (RHP) and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Southlake Regional Health Centre (SRHC). PSPs are primarily required to perform tasks for patients that are focused on activities of daily living (ADL) including mobility and feeding.
Qualifications
High school diploma required
Successful completion of a Personal Support Worker/Developmental Service Worker program through a National Association of Community Career Colleges approved program (community college/accredited college program) OR successful completion of a minimum of the 1st year of a Nursing program required OR Internationally Educated Radiographer
Recent patient care experience preferred
Recent acute care experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of control area and scan room
Document patient care activities in the Health Care Record
Assist in code procedures
Stocking supplies, laundry
Utilize the Southlake communication equipment as required to perform job duties
Prepare patients for Diagnostic Imaging procedures and coordinate with Technologist teams to transfer relevant patient details and facilitate patient workflow
Provide assistance to patients as required by assisting with lifts and transfers, as directed by a RHP
Interact with co-workers in a team atmosphere in order to help find a better way to perform job
Adhere to all Hospital policies & procedures
Manage workload and completes assignments on time
Demonstrates understanding of infection prevention and control practices
Attend all department/hospital in-service orientation as required
Maintain a responsive and courteous manner in all interactions with fellow employees, staff, patients and visitors
Other duties as assigned
