Alta Vista Animal Hospital

is hiring a

Patient Care Manager

(General Practice & Emergency). This is a full-time (35-40 hours weekly) permanent position. The shifts will include days, evenings and weekends. This position reports directly to the Client Care Manager. This position is open to Client Care Representatives, Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.

Patient Care Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for several aspects of in-hospital patient care, including: coding files, acting as the liaison between the DVM and the client for patient, medical and financial updates, performing patient discharges, payments and educating the client on home care and necessary follow-up instructions.


This position is also responsible for client patient follow-up calls, assisting with dietary recommendations & other aspects of client care.

Qualifications:

Required:Fluent in English (Reading, Writing and Oral); and, Able to support patients up to 50kg and lift up to 25kg.

Preferred*: Fluent bilingual in French and English (Reading, Writing and Oral). 1 year of client care experience.

Excellent time management skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and teamwork skills Proven ability to organize, take initiative, work independently, and exercise good judgment Decision-making and critical thinking skills; Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships with professionalism and integrity Exhibits a positive attitude and uses courtesy, diplomacy and discretion Maintains professional ethics and confidentiality.
