Duties
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a welcoming environment
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments efficiently using medical office software
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and medical histories with accuracy
Communicate clearly with patients regarding pre-visit instructions and follow-up care plans
Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate smooth clinic operations and patient flow
Maintain organized medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and office policies
Support administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and processing referrals when needed
Skills
Proven experience in a medical or dental office setting, demonstrating familiarity with clinical workflows
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a busy healthcare environment
Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks including scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
Effective communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and healthcare providers
Previous office experience that highlights attention to detail and customer service excellence
Nice-to-have: experience specifically in dental offices or similar healthcare practices
Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret patient information and documentation
