To assist with the provision of patient care and the efficient operation of the unit/area under the direction of a health care professional.
Education:
I. Completed a recognized program for personal support worker
II. Current Basic Rescuer Certificate in Basic Cardiac Life support or willingness to obtain within 3 months of hiring
III. Member of the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA) and/or Personal Support Network of Ontario (PSNO) an asset
Experience:
I. Previous patient care experience in health care environment or health related community work, preferred

Unless otherwise stated applicants must have a minimum educational requirement of Grade 12 or equivalent and must demonstrate proven workplace excellence through commitment to strong job performance and attendance.

Therefore, depending on the program for which you are applying, it may be an expectation that you are available to work week days and weekends, as well as all shifts - days, evenings, and nights.
