Overview

We are seeking a passionate Pastry Cook Trainee to join our newly opened Dessert Shop. The ideal candidate will have a basic background in baking and cake decorating, along with experience in a restaurant or food service environment. As a Pastry Cook Trainee you will assist the pastry Chef in different tasks, in the mean time to serve our Customers in the cashier serving them our delicate Desserts & pastries.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and quality standards. Decorate cakes and pastries with creativity and attention to detail to ensure visual appeal. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and presentation of all pastry items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, adhering to food safety standard. Package baked goods for sale or distribution while ensuring quality control. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, answering questions about menu items, and accommodating special requests.

Qualifications

Proven experience in baking and pastry preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting. Basic skills in cake decorating and food presentation techniques. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, along with familiarity with various cooking methods and equipment. Keep the kitchen clean & orgnized. Manual dish washing is part of the tasks in the kitchen & very important for our operation. A passion for baking is essential for success in this role. Join our team as a Pastry Cook Trainee .
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
