Job Summary

We're a small, passionate team looking for a talented and creative

Pastry & Baking Cook

to join us as we grow. While there is space for creativity and development in the pastry and baking program, this is a hands-on role that also involves contributing to prep and service in other areas of the kitchen. You'll work closely with the rest of the team and help where needed -- from garde-manger to line cooking -- especially during busy service times.

This position is ideal for someone who's passionate about pastry and baking but also values teamwork and being involved in all aspects of kitchen life.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and desserts according to house standards Decorate and plate desserts with creativity and attention to detail Contribute to seasonal dessert and pastry development Assist with general kitchen prep ahead of service Participate in service, including garde-manger or line cook duties as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with food safety practices Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth, timely execution of service Help manage inventory and order supplies related to pastry and baking

Experience & Skills

Previous experience in pastry and baking, or in a similar kitchen role, is preferred Solid baking fundamentals with a creative approach to presentation Willingness to work in a flexible, supportive role across different kitchen stations Understanding of food safety and hygiene best practices Team spirit, good communication skills, and a strong work ethic Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 40 per week
