Is exceptional, quality puff pastry your passion? Do you have experience in a fast-paced bakery or kitchen environment? If you have experience with laminated dough or viennoiseries, and more general sweet baked goods such as bread pudding, scones, cookies, croissants and other pastries, we would like to hear from you! Start times are between 6 - 8 am on weekdays, and possibly 5:00 am start times.
Duties
Prepare and bake a variety of laminated pastries, tarts, cookies and more
Show creativity with using seasonal and local ingredients to craft pastries
Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes
Decorate pastries using various techniques
Ensure all food preparation meets quality standards
Package and present pastries to support the cafe team
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pastry section of the kitchen
Provide excellent customer service when interacting with patrons, as needed
Skills
Proficiency in baking techniques and pastry preperation
Experience in food preparation within the restaurant industry
Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
Ability to remain efficient in a fast-paced environment, always looking for ways to improve systems and processes.
Certificate in Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts a definite asset
Strong customer service skills to interact with patrons
Bilingual a bonus (FR/EN)

Pay: $20.32-$25.09 per hour
Expected hours: 17 - 40 per week
