Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen eye for detail, particularly in baking and cake decorating. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods that meet our high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires creativity, precision, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, breads, and desserts according to established recipes. Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair while adhering to customer specifications. Create and produce plated desserts Ensure all food handling and preparation meets health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed. Package finished products for display or sale while ensuring quality standards are met.

Skills

Proficient in food handling techniques and food safety practices. Strong skills in food preparation, baking, and cake decorating. Strong skills in creative and innovative plated dessert design Experience working in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent attention to detail with a creative approach to dessert presentation. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively within the kitchen.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 44 per week
