Job Summary
To provide all necessary and required passenger/customer services as contracted by the customer to include but not be limited to reservations, ticketing, baggage processing, terminal/gate check-in, jet way operation, greeting arriving passengers, handling of VIPs, provide special passenger assistance, handle customer complaints and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
\xc2\xb7 Inspect and verify passenger documentation,
\xc2\xb7 Issue boarding passes and reschedule passengers affected by flight interruptions or cancellations,
\xc2\xb7 Manage passenger baggage processing including handling and fee calculation if applicable,
\xc2\xb7 Assist passengers as needed through arrival and check in processes including support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIP passengers and passengers needing wheelchair assistance,
\xc2\xb7 Direct passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine, as required,
\xc2\xb7 Make public address announcements as required,
\xc2\xb7 Assist Ramp Service Agents to ensure that wheelchairs, strollers, and gate checked bags (cleared through security) are made available for loading upon departure and delivery to passengers upon arrival,
\xc2\xb7 Comply with all federal, state, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements and Swissport SOPs and policies,
\xc2\xb7 Operate equipment to include the jet way, computer keyboards, and carrier specific reservation/ ticketing software,
\xc2\xb7 Produce all required, work-related documentation,
\xc2\xb7 Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Competencies
\xc2\xb7 Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) in English and Spanish,
\xc2\xb7 High School diploma or GED equivalent,
\xc2\xb7 Must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience in a fast-paced environment,
\xc2\xb7 Commitment to continuous improvement,
\xc2\xb7 Self motivated and able to work independently,
\xc2\xb7 Attentive to detail and numerate,
\xc2\xb7 Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required,
\xc2\xb7 Must be able to type and learn airline specific computer reservation/ ticketing software.
Requirements
\xc2\xb7 Must be at least 18 years old.
\xc2\xb7 Flexible to work different shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays).
