The Passenger Movement Specialist is responsible for Sunwing Airlines customers in the decision-making process during day of Operations and documentation. They are responsible for Sunwing brand travel experience and overall delivery of the airlines schedule. They are accountable for proactively identifying customer impacts in the schedule and actively monitoring to minimize disruption to our customers. They provide live time management of passenger movement and direction to minimize customer disruptions during irregular operations.

What You?ll Do:
  • Monitor matters of customer service and passenger movement
  • Monitor passenger communication and timely communication of sending flight alerts
  • Monitor passenger welfare and provide live details to internal teams via delay notices
  • Coordinate within the Operations team for irregular operational planning that impacts passenger movement and welfare
  • Monitor passenger welfare, tarmac delays and passenger convenience
  • Identify priority flights and plan accordingly based on specific requirements
  • Manage special services and passenger special care
  • Respond to questions/concerns regarding passenger care and treatment from stations and internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate denied boarding process with airports on the passenger re-accommodation process by identifying affected flights and protection opportunities.
  • Provide operations an overview of flight specific customer uniqueness (groups, priority passengers, VIP, wedding group etc.) in support of day of schedule
  • Ensure irregular operations and customer information is communicated to key operational stakeholders (airports/call centres/passengers)
  • Provide continuous feedback of processes to improve the effectiveness of the passenger movement function
  • Provide shift coverage as required for the Operations Specialist and/or OCC Manager, to ensure staffing levels are met


What You?ll Need:
  • A minimum of two years of work experience in an Airline Operations Centre or Airport will be an asset
  • Experience in airports, operations or passenger related operations an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Aviation Management or a related field, or an equivalent level of education and experience
  • Customer service experience an asset
  • Knowledge and experience with Operations Control Airline software is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and solve complex operational and passenger service problems under pressure
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the use of computer applications, such as MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Committed to teamwork; understands the concept of working towards a common goal
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, planning, and administrative skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, work independently, be flexible, reliable, and prioritize workload
  • Must be able to work shift work
