Provide the installation, maintenance, and support of endpoint computing hardware and software in both an educational and administration setting.
Support Audio-Visual equipment on all school board networks which include interactive projectors, sound systems in classrooms, meeting rooms, auditoriums, etc.
Perform in-person, on-site repairs of endpoint computing devices (desktop, laptop, tablet's),
printers, phones, and other peripherals.Perform in-person, on-site installation of software, patches, upgrades to endpoint computing devices (desktop, laptop, tablet's), printers, phones, and other peripherals.
Search online resources and knowledge bases to assist in problem resolution when required.
Accurately update Helpdesk tickets including assets into Helpdesk Ticket System.
Use the Helpdesk Ticket system to address daily work assignments and priority tickets to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Provide training to staff in an individual and group setting.
Participate in moves, adds, and changes to network, devices and systems in a large rollout.
Network and Server Administration
Analyze, diagnose and resolve network issues.
Configure and support Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP etc.
Support and use endpoint management tools such as Microsoft System Centre, Intune, Airwatch.
Diagnose and repairing computer structured cabling.
Configuration and replacement of managed network switches that support endpoint devices when required.
Diagnose and troubleshoot WIFI issues.
Research and Special projects
As assigned by the Manager of ICT Client Support to assist in investigating new technology or applications to enhance the endpoint or end user experience. With a focus on being the subject matter expert.
Submit all working project models and documentation under the lead of the Senior System Support Analysts - Technology.
Assist in the development and implementation of supported systems to ensure the latest supported technology is available.
Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
3 Year College Diploma in Computer Studies, Computer Networking, or Computer Specialist preferred.
One or more of the following certifications preferred CompTIA A+, Network +, MS Specialist (Desktop OS), Windows Server Certification.
2 years' experience in a technical support environment preferred.
Proficient knowledge of user endpoint devices (Windows and Apple), software applications (Microsoft Office Suite including Teams), and networking tools.
Proven interpersonal and communication skills with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Able to work in a team environment.
Maturity in dealing with confidential information.
Proven ability to manage multiple support requests from different locations in a timely and cost- effective manner.
Able to provide training on the use of endpoint devices and software to staff in an individual and group settings.
May require responding to urgent and scheduled requests outside of the normal work hours.
Must have own reliable transportation with a valid G License - This position requires travelling and transporting equipment to multiple locations.
Cell Phone - Allowance provided.
Lift and move objects up to 9Kg (Computer, Monitor, Printer, UPS, etc.) and work at heights using a ladder.
