About Emeri Matcha Bar

Emeri is a Vancouver-based tea company focused on directly sourced, high quality Japanese teas. Our mission is to help our community find the matcha that suits their palette while raising the bar for quality across North America. This past summer, we brought our tea to life through a weekend-only pop-up cafe concept--

--where we served high quality tea drinks to our local community and we are now extending our pop-up through at least mid-December 2025. We're passionate about quality, education, and creating a space where customers can enjoy a thoughtful cup of tea with their community.

The Role

We're looking for a friendly and reliable barista to join us at our weekend pop-up. You'll be the face of Emeri Matcha Bar, whisking matcha to order, engaging with customers, and helping bring a calm, welcoming energy to the space.

What You'll Be Doing

Prepare tea beverages with care, consistency, and attention to detail (we'll train you!)*
Educate customers about matcha and our sourcing story Maintain a clean, organized, and beautiful workspace Assist with daily setup and teardown of the pop-up Organize and restock inventory Create a warm, professional, and memorable customer experience Support occasional projects or tasks as needed

What We're Looking For

Prior cafe, barista, or food service experience is helpful--but not required Friendly, punctual, and team-oriented Genuinely curious about matcha and Japanese tea culture Comfortable working on your feet and in a fast-paced environment Available Saturdays and Sundays for at least 1 month (starting November)

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 1 month

Pay: $18.25 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 20 per week
