Job Summary

Acadia Drive Animal Clinic is looking for a Part-Time Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team! We're a busy 4-doctor practice that prides itself on compassionate care and a positive, team-oriented environment.

Hours: 24 hours per week (optional Saturdays)

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a veterinary setting

Wage: Based on experience

About Us:

Located in Calgary, AB, Acadia Drive Animal Clinic is open 8am-5pm Monday to Friday and 9am-1pm on Saturdays (open 3 out of 4 Saturdays each month). We have no evening or overnight shifts, no Sundays, and are closed on all statutory holidays -- offering a great work-life balance!

Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in and out patients Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar to optimize workflow Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide accurate information about services Process payments and handle billing accurately Communicate effectively with veterinary staff regarding patient updates and client needs Ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and well-stocked with supplies

Requirements

Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role required Is reliable and punctual Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach toward clients and animals Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask efficiently Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
