Position summary:
This Management position oversees staff in the Supported Independent Living program.

Responsibilities:
Mentor, and lead staff in a positive manner, and build strong relationships to foster positive work environments
Schedule staff, review and approve timesheets
Supervise Direct Support staff
Participate in leadership initiatives
Proactively respond to crisis situations
Conduct performance reviews
Promote and comply with NHCIA's Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Champion the attainment of the Agency's Strategic Plan
Instruct training and facilitate meetings
Represent NHCIA on community committees, internal working groups, at meetings, and training, etc.
Commitment to the mission, vision, and values of NHCIA within the workplace and in the community
Participate in the On-Call schedule rotation
Create and promote opportunities for inclusion through person-centered practices and planning
Other duties as necessary to meet the needs of NHCIA
Qualifications:
College Level or University Degree in Human Services (SSW, DSW, etc.) or related field
Minimum two years' experience working with people with a developmental disability
Two years' experience in a management or leadership position would be considered an asset
Advanced computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Demonstrated critical thinking, proactive problem solving, and conflict resolution skills
Excellent organizational, time management and communications skills
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Successful completion of a pharmacology course (this may be completed during the first 6 months of employment)
Valid First Aid and CPR certification (emergency level or higher)
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
Submission of a criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening to be reviewed by the Executive Director
A valid Full G class driver's license, clean driving record, reliable vehicle, and $1,000,000 liability coverage
Knowledge of CPI nonviolent crisis intervention and ability to utilize these practices
