Reporting to the Manager, Student Learning Centre & Libraries, the incumbent provides assistance to Perth campus library patrons using the campus library and online services. Assists, as required, in the maintenance of library materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:Maintains the integrity of patron records in the integrated library system; Provides guidance to patrons in the use of resources; Assists clients with technical issues (computers, printers, scanners, photocopier); Provides general information and problem-solving; Performs duties such as straightening furniture, shelving materials, as required; Provides front desk services and telephone responses.

Requirements for this position include:This position is funded through the College Student Employment Program (CSEP). Applicants must be eligible for CSEP. You must be currently enrolled in a full-time program. The following students are not eligible: Second Career, Apprenticeship Programs, International students, Algonquin College employees paying a reduced tuition, Collaborative programs with the University of Ottawa or Carleton University and all programs that are not Ministry-approved; You must be a Canadian citizen, a Permanent Resident, or a Protected Person/Convention Refugee within the meaning of subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) prior to the application deadline date; You must demonstrate a financial need by successfully applying for OSAP or out-of-province financial aid funding

Anticipated Schedule:
Up to 16 hours per week;
Monday to Thursday: 12:00pm to 2:00pm (flexible);
Friday: 9:00am- 4:00pm (flexible)

This position is fully onsite at Perth Campus.
