Duties
Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in science subjects
Develop and adapt lesson plans to align with the
Ontario science curriculum
Support students with homework, labs, projects, and test/exam preparation
Simplify complex concepts to improve understanding and engagement
Track student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
Communicate with parents/guardians about student performance, as needed
Maintain accurate records of attendance and student progress
Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding progress.
Qualifications
1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience in science (preferred)
Strong subject knowledge in one or more high school sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Familiarity with
Ontario science curriculum expectations
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience working with youth in educational settings is an asset
Comfortable using digital tools for online tutoring sessions
Enthusiastic about helping students succeed and build confidence in science.
Strong background in classroom management and tutoring techniques.
