Job Description

RoboPlanet - Richmond, BC is seeking a passionate and skilled Part-Time Robotics and Coding Instructor for our VEX Robotics programs. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with middle school and high school students, and have a knack for organizing and teaching. Teaching experience is preferred but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:



Steamline and deliver engaging robotics curriculms and activities. Teach C++/ Python coding principles and their applications in Autonomous Coding. Conduct game analysis and develop game strategies for VEX teams. Mentor and guide students in their robotics buidling, coding, tuning and competitions. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to create a dynamic learning environment. Stay current with advancements in robotics and coding technologies.

Qualifications



A responsible person who enjoys working in a team Fluent in English; bilingual in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is a plus Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Engineering, or related field. Proficient in C++ or Python programming. Relevant certifications in programming and robotics are a plus. Availability from 10 am to 6 pm on at least one day of Saturday and Sunday starting from September to March. Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly. Previous teaching or mentoring experience preferred. Flexible schedule and willing to work as subtitute / on-call teacher when needed Candidates must be self-motivated, positive and responsible Valid SIN and legal working permit documentation. A criminal background check may be required. VEX experience is a strong asset.
Training will be provided as necessary.
