Job Statement:

Promote the profitable sale of retail products through courteous and efficient service to customers. Responsible for contributing to the overall success of Fierling Limited by fostering a spirit consistent with a successful and well-knit team.

Essential Functions:

Ensure that every customer is greeted in a friendly, respectful, and genuine way. Listen attentively to the customers situation and help the customer resolve those situations or needs with the most appropriate solution - this solution will mostly be the sale of a Fierling Limited product however it could also be offering good advice that could still lead to the sale of Fierling Limited product or service. Assist the customer in locating and comparing product choices - demonstrate a thorough knowledge of product options and features wherever possible. Assist in putting away stock and merchandising in all areas of the store. Process complete and accurate paperwork for every sale, special orders and out of stock items. Promptly advice the Store Supervisor of stock outs, invalid pricing, shortages, damaged inventory, perceived theft in their department, inefficient or inappropriate activities. Answer the phone on the first ring. Assist on cash. Perform other job-related duties as required.

Job Specifications:

Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills. Knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and paint products would be an asset Ability to work independently and with a team. A willingness and desire to develop skills and knowledge. Cash handling and POS knowledge would be an asset. The ability to work in compliance with the Provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Safety Regulations and Policies of Fierling Limited.
