We're seeking an enthusiastic and outdoorsy person to join our team for winter! A part-time position working 2-3 days a week through the winter season with a full-time extension available in the summer.

Position starts in November. Staff accommodation is available minutes from work.

Kananaskis Outfitters is an independently owned outdoor shop in the Kananaskis Village. We carry a variety of mountain lifestyle apparel along with a seasonal selection of rental gear and guided activities. During the warmer months, we rent mountain bikes, canoes, kayaks and SUPs. When the snow flies, we rent snowshoes, xc skis, ice skates and fat bikes.

Surrounded by a scenic mountain playground with year round adventures, we collaborate as a small close-knit team to provide our customers with an enjoyable experience on and off the trails.

In our Shops...

As a Retail & Rental Sales Associate, you'll play an essential role by:

Providing excellent customer service - friendly, courteous and professional Engaging with customers about the many things in and outside of our shops Efficiently selling merchandise, rental gear and tours Outfitting guests with appropriate rental equipment and instruction of use Providing guests with accurate trail info and directions for the local area Performing basic maintenance on rental equipment Creating retail window and table displays along with overall shop presentation Organising and restocking of inventory Accurately receiving, inspecting, and inputting new shipments Maintaining the cleanliness of the shops and various storage areas Responding to phone and email inquiries in a timely manner Physical working environment (walking, stair climbing, safely lifting bikes & gear...) and a variety of additional tasks and projecting

Class 5 licence and own reliable vehicle required

Bedroom with shared bathroom and living space included for $600/mth + shared utilities

Note: The Kananaskis Village is located a 45 minute drive to the nearest Town of Canmore or Cochrane and a 1 hour drive to the City of Calgary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.50-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
