A Well Mind is a growing psychology and counselling practice with offices in Bowmanville and Uxbridge, Ontario. Our team of psychologists, psychometrists, and therapists provides caring, evidence-based support for children, teens, and adults.

We are recognized for our expertise in supporting individuals with ADHD and Autism, along with a wide range of emotional and mental-health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges.

Applicants for this position must be available for in-person sessions upon client request. Successful applicants will receive access to Jane App (secure online platform) for booking and online appointments.

We are seeking a

part-time Registered Therapist

(RP, RSW, or equivalent) to join our in-person team. Candidates with a "Qualifying" status will not be considered at this time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Implement and coordinate appropriate treatment plans depending on client needs Provide 50-75 minute counselling/psychotherapy sessions. Sessions may take place virtually or in-person (availability for in-person is a must!) Provide clinical consultation and support to others on the team on an ongoing/as needed basis Correspond with clients via phone or email to answer questions about counselling services and treatment options. Must be available to respond to emails and communications in a timely manner Strong ability to work with a broad range of clinical issues and client populations (e.g. anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, life transitions, grief, relationships, social skills) Be open to working with individuals, couples, families, or groups Keep confidential records and write up-to-date reports (use of Jane app is an asset) Reliable, punctual and comfortable working online. Must have impeccable time-management skills
Virtual Counselling Requirement:

Must have the necessary requirements to provide virtual counselling services including (but not limited to): A quiet, private space, high-speed internet, computer with adequate audio/visual capabilities.

How many years of clinical experience do you have providing psychotherapy? What therapeutic modalities do you most often use in your clinical work? Are you available to work evenings and weekends, as most sessions will occur during those times? What is your current availability (number of hours and preferred days/times)? Are you currently registered (not qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) or Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and in good standing? What is your preferred client age range (children, youth, adolescents, adults)? This role requires in-person sessions in both Bowmanville and Uxbridge, depending on client needs. Are you able and willing to travel to both locations for in-person sessions as needed? Our employment agreement includes a clause to prevent the provision of services through any other private practice. Are you able to meet this requirement?
