Successful candidates will be required to perform work within Ontario and must be available to work on campus, as required.Hybrid Work: These positions requires daily on-site presence and are not subject to hybrid work.Note: These are part-time temporary Faculty positions (up to 6 hours per week) starting September 3, 2024 and ending December 20, 2024.Note: These positions will be located at our downtown campus at 130 Dundas Street, London, Ontario.The School of Tourism, Hospitality and Culinary Arts is looking for qualified Part-time Professors to teach courses in the Food Processing and Food Processing - Operational Leadership program. The majority of this program\'s courses are taught in-person.
QualificationsGENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
  • Excellent communicator
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
  • Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies (LMS) are required
  • Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are preferred assets
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualified candidates must have a minimum of a graduate degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Processing, Chemistry or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years\' recent and relevant experience in the Food Processing industry
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Demonstrated commitment to lifelong learning and leading innovation
  • Must be committed to teaching and mentoring students by engaging students in experiential education opportunities
