Fanshawe College is seeking interested and experienced fitness and health professionals to teach part-time in the Fitness and Health Promotion (FHP) Program in the School of Health Sciences.
Duties
: Reporting to the Associate Dean, School of Health Sciences, part-time Professors are responsible for teaching and developing an effective learning environment for students.
General Qualifications
:
Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success
Excellent communicator
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners
Strong technical/computer skills and familiarity with educational technologies are required
Teaching experience with hybrid delivery preferred
Related industry work experience, previous college teaching experience and knowledge of curriculum design and student evaluations are assets
Specific Qualifications
:
Certification through: NSCA, ACSM, CSEP, CanFitPro, YMCA, OFC, ISSA, CPTN, ACE or NCCP preferred
Post-secondary education an asset
Minimum 5 years' recent, relevant experience
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
