Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing expert advice on drug therapies, and ensuring optimal patient care within a hospital or clinical setting. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and patient-centered care, with a focus on delivering safe and effective pharmaceutical services.

Duties

Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physicians' orders and legal regulations Provide consultation to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions Ensure proper documentation of all pharmaceutical activities and maintain detailed patient records Monitor patient responses to prescribed therapies and collaborate with medical staff to adjust treatments as necessary Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and verifying medication supplies to ensure availability and compliance with safety standards Educate patients on medication adherence, proper usage, and storage to promote health and safety Stay updated on the latest pharmaceutical developments, hospital protocols, and regulatory requirements

Skills

Proven experience in hospital or acute care pharmacy settings is highly desirable Strong knowledge of pediatrics, patient care practices, and medication administration protocols Excellent understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and educating patients Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of safety and quality Certification as a licensed Pharmacist is required; ongoing professional development is preferred
