Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, career-driven and business-oriented pharmacist who can collaborate well with other healthcare professionals to facilitate growth in the pharmacy business.

Comfortable working without an assistant on certain slow days.

Regular Part-time

position: Fixed 3 days in Burlington.
Mon, Thu, Fri (some days flexible upon negotiation)
9:30AM -5:30PM

Located beside Joseph Brant Hospital and Halton Family Health Team. Free parking. No methadone. In collaboration with a compounding pharmacy and travel clinic.

Duties:
- Dispense prescription medications to patients and provide clear instructions for use
- Review and interpret physicians' orders and ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy
- Collaborate with Family Health Team next door and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide drug information to healthcare professionals, patients, and caregivers
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards

Professional Experience:
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Minimum 1 year Canadian experience in a community pharmacy
- Injection Certified (comfortable with flu & COVID shots, and travel vaccines)
- Minor Ailment Prescribing and conducting medication reviews

- Proficient in blister packs and batch billing an asset
- Proficient in dispensing medications accurately and appropriate counselling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
