The Onsite Event Chef will work with our catering team to prepare and execute menus on location. This role is part-time, on an event-by-event basis, and best suited for chefs who enjoy variety, creativity, and the energy of live event settings.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate menu items at event venues.
Lead or assist in onsite kitchen operations, ensuring smooth service.
Uphold high culinary standards for presentation, taste, and quality.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with Ontario food safety standards.
Work collaboratively with servers, kitchen staff, and event managers
Transport and handle catering equipment and ingredients as needed.
Requirements
2-3 years of experience in catering, banquets, or fine dining.
Food Handler Certification (required).
A culinary diploma is an asset but not mandatory.
Strong time management skills and ability to adapt to different venues.
Professional demeanor with excellent teamwork and communication.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Reliable transportation within the GTA.
A G driver's license is an asset, but not required
Compensation
Hourly rate: $30/hour, based on experience.
4-hour minimum per event shift.
Additional hours available during peak seasons.
