Novacorp Properties Limited is currently searching for a part-time

Live-in Superintendent

for a 44-unit condominium complex on Oxford Street in Halifax.

Your responsibilities for this position will include:

Maintain the cleanliness of all common areas of the complex and property including routine daily, weekly and periodic cleaning tasks;

Conduct routine inspections, minor repairs and maintenance on common area equipment;

Responsible for snow shoveling of all walkways, exits and entrances and supervise snow removal contractor in parking and driveway areas;

Small repair work such as painting, wall repairs, door repairs and other site maintenance;

Ensure the appearance of the grounds is kept to a high standard;

Communicate regularly with the Property Manager reporting any building deficiencies;

Assist the Property Manager in enforcing condominium rules and policies;

Maintain positive and professional relationships and communication with condo owners and residents of the complex;

Assist in other areas as issues arise.

Your skills & qualifications for this position include:

Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and competence in a wide variety of areas;

Familiar with all systems, such as electrical and mechanical, installed throughout the building;

Able to handle minor issues and repairs. Good painting skills are an asset. When necessary organize, call and supervise the work of contractors;

Able to effectively manage contractors working in the building and on the property;

Able to diplomatically solve problems, be responsive to residents and able to work as a team member and alone;

Strong communication and organizational skills;

Administrative and computer skills including Microsoft office, email and other systems such as security and intercom software.

Job Types: Permanent, Part-time

Pay: From $26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 per week
