We offer long-term bed-based and outpatient treatment for men aged 19 and over, utilizing a Social Model treatment modality. Position Overview:



The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is integral to providing comprehensive nursing care to individuals undergoing addiction treatment. This role involves administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and offering both medical and emotional support to clients. The LPN works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to contribute to the overall well-being and recovery of clients, adhering to statutory and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:



Graduation from an accredited LPN program. Current license with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Understanding of Recovery Orientated Systems of Care CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Previous experience in addiction treatment, psychiatric, mental health, or behavioral health settings is preferred. Experience with medication administration and client care in a healthcare setting. Compassionate and nonjudgmental approach to caring for individuals with substance use disorders. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively connecting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and confidentiality. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Successful completion of a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to employment initiation and annually thereafter. Individuals with lived experience in recovery from are considered an asset. Dynamic healthcare setting within a recovery community focused on addiction treatment. Collaborative team-oriented environment with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

Working Conditions:



This position is required to work part-time rotating shifts, days, evenings and weekends.
