Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canada's largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killam's strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.


We are looking for an energetic and results-oriented Leasing Representative to join our team in St. John's, NL. This is a part-time role (up to 20 hours per week) with some working hours on evenings and weekends.

What you will do

:

Field all leasing communication, by phone and email and in person; Perform showing of suites and tours of properties; Follow up with prospective tenants after showing to close the sale; Manage electronic advertisements for a portfolio of properties; Processing applications and lease signings; Other duties as assigned.

Who you are

:

1-2 years' experience in a similar role, property management and/or real estate; 1-2 years' experience in sales, marketing and/or customer service; Bachelor's degree is considered an asset; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; Experience with posting ads on Kijiji, and working in Yardi considered an asset; Must be flexible including working on weekends/evenings; Must have valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle.
