We are seeking a motivated Junior Taekwondo Instructor to join our team and assist in delivering engaging Taekwondo classes to students of various ages and skill levels. This part-time, entry-level position is perfect for individuals passionate about martial arts and teaching. The Junior Instructor will work closely with senior instructors to develop instructional skills, foster a positive learning environment, and support student growth in both skill and character.
Hourly Rate:
$16.60/hr - $20/hr
Location:
OMAC Brant Street location - 1200 Brant Street, Burlington.
Requirements:
Must hold a
1st degree black belt
in Taekwondo (WT preferred, ITF considered).
Duties
Assist instructors in conducting Taekwondo classes for children, teens, and adults.
Support students in developing proper techniques, discipline, and martial arts values.
Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment for classes.
Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring activities and enforcing dojo rules.
Provide encouragement and constructive feedback to help students improve skills and confidence.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the training area before and after classes.
Participate in training sessions to enhance teaching skills and martial arts knowledge.
Assist with belt promotion testing and student evaluations as needed.
Support special programs such as P.A. Day Camps, after school programs, and events.
Qualifications
Minimum
1st degree black belt
in Taekwondo (WT preferred, ITF considered).
Prior experience or strong interest in teaching martial arts is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Ability to work effectively with children, teens, and adults in a class setting.
Enthusiastic and committed to promoting discipline, respect, and positive learning experiences.
Willingness to learn from senior instructors and participate in ongoing training sessions.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends (as needed).
