Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a

Sensei

(instructor). This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and has a passion for introducing them to the world of technology and STEM-based learning through fun, hands-on activities.

Schedule:

Tuesday-Friday:

3:30 PM to 7:30 PM

Saturday:

9:30 AM to 1:30 PM Additional hours will be available for

PD Days or school holiday events

Who Would Be a Great Fit?

Love working with kids (ages 5-14) and understand how to keep them engaged. Have a background in teaching or early childhood education. Patient, positive, and a team player. Comfortable using basic technology and are willing to learn simple coding/STEM tools.

Priority will be given to candidates who:

Have

experience teaching children

, particularly in early education or enrichment programs. Are current

students in a Bachelor of Education (BEd) program

or a

teacher preparation program

looking for part-time experience?

Your Responsibilities:

Lead short, engaging STEM and early coding activities for young learners. Follow a structured weekly lesson plan (training and materials provided). Help set up and tidy the learning space before and after sessions. Communicate positively with parents and fellow team members.

Requirements:

Must be a

resident of Sherwood Park.

Professional demeanour and appearance. Completion of a

Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector Check

is required for all successful applicants.

Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 12 per week

Do you currently reside in or near Sherwood Park? Do you have prior experience working with children between the ages of 5 and 12? Are you available to work regularly on Tuesday-Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM and Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM? Do you have any experience with basic coding, STEM activities, or educational technology (e.g., Scratch, robots, circuits, etc.)?
