Located in Barrie and reporting to the Manager of International Partnership and Development, the incumbent develops and delivers a high school level course titled "Math" in a non-credit international program. The course is scheduled and delivered in-person during the day (2-4 hours per week from February 2, 2026 to May 22, 2026). Specific duties include but are not limited to:
Facilitating the "Math" high school level course in a non-credit international program
Developing and delivering curriculum to meet course objectives, focusing on key topics like probability, the binomial expansion, and discrete random variables
Giving home written assignments involving the key topics of probability, the binomial expansion, and discrete random variables
Incorporating a variety of facilitating / learning strategies to meet student needs
Evaluating student progress / achievement
Participating in program and college activities as required
Participating in program revision and renewal activities as required
Creating and maintaining a positive learning environment
Participating in student events (orientation and graduation)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Successfully completed a Bachelor degree in Math or related discipline
Minimum of 2 years high school facilitating experience (Grade 10 -12) within private and/or public sector organization
Experience managing change and leading innovation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to life-long learning
Computer literacy: MS Office
Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
Experience in some or all of the following is an asset: curriculum development, a variety of delivery strategies, learning methodologies, academic advising, and student success strategies
Teaching and Training certification and / or experience in a facilitating or training capacity is an asset
Acceptable proof of education (degrees, credentials) from recognized post-secondary institutions or confirmation of international equivalencies will be required as part of the selection process.
