Reporting to, and under the direction of, the Manager of Fitness & Aquatic Services, the Part-Time Fitness Leader is responsible for the instruction of fitness classes and public relations.

You enjoy meeting and working with a lot of different people and are known for being a great listener and clear communicator, whether you're engaging with colleagues or interacting with clients.
What You Bring To Our Team
As the successful applicant you will possess:
Level One:a high school graduation diploma; certification in CPR/AED (Level C or HCP) and Emergency First Aid; the ability to understand simple exercise physiology, and anatomy exercise physiology; strong organizational, research and analytical skills to be able to understand fitness class concepts; well-developed interpersonal and public relations skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients and the general public; the ability to communicate orally and in written form in a clear and concise manner; experience in family fitness preferred; and a valid criminal record check to work with vulnerable individuals.

Level Two:
All level one qualifications, plus:Group Fitness Instructor, or equivalent certification (i.e. CanFitPro); or Program Specific Continuing Education Credits; or Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology - Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT); upon Supervisor's approval and recommendation.

Level Three:
All level one and level two qualifications, plus:specialty fitness certification (i.e. Zumba, Yoga, Reebok Cycle or Johnny G Spinning, etc.); or equivalent, upon Supervisor's approval and recommendation.
