Oxford Learning Oakville North

is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and committed English/Math teacher to join our fabulous staff! Our centre has been rapidly growing and we must ensure that we have enough teachers to meet this growing demand! A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:


Confidence teaching both English and Math curriculum from Grades 1 - 8 Experience in either teaching or tutoring Strong English language written and oral communication skills Strong ability to organize and multi-task

Education:

Bachelor's degree or similar certification in a relevant field Fourth year university students with some tutoring experience will be considered; excellent third year university students with extensive tutoring experience will also be considered. Teaching certification an asset Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 9 curriculum

Responsibilities (Position Details):

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:


Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels Teaching in-person Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies Filling in post-lesson notes Completing daily student communication updates Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Interested candidates must be available at least two evenings per week from 3:00 pm.

Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Rate of Pay:

$19.00 / hour to start

Schedule:

Evenings, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday to Thursday Saturday availability, 9:00am - 1:00 pm
