Peace River School Division requires for the 2023-2024 school year a Part-Time Educational Assistant at Fairview High School
Fairview, Alberta Fairview High School is located in the town of Fairview, approximately 100 kms north of Grande Prairie. The school serves students in grades 7-12. Fairview High School supports a variety of programs including an active sports program, excellent CTS Program, partnerships with community organizations and energetic student council group One Part-Time (0.50 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant is required commencing August 30, 2023 and continuing until June 27, 2024. The successful candidate will be working under the direction of the Inclusive Education Coach, in collaboration with classroom teachers, to support students of varying abilities. Qualifications:
- Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent
- Experience and/or training working with students in a junior/senior high school setting
- Experience and/or training working with students with complex learning needs and/or who exhibit challenging behaviours
- Ability to work with students of varied ages, skill levels, needs and abilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with staff
- Ability to manage and organize programming and keep records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Conscientious, flexible and committed
- Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
- Provide an acceptable current Children\'s Services Intervention Record Check (applicants within Alberta)
