Award winning Block Kitchen + Bar is looking for a dedicated and reliable part time Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Dishwasher plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our food service operations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hospitality setting and are eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. This position could also lead to a full time dish washing position in the near future

Duties

Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dish washing equipment. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, countertops, and food preparation surfaces. Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Help cooks and kitchen staff by providing necessary tools and ingredients during busy service periods. Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling practices are followed. Stock clean dishes and utensils in their designated places to ensure efficient workflow. Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not required. Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
