Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Server to join our team in the food service industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation, food handling, and kitchen operations within a retirement home setting.
Duties:
- Assist with the preparation and service of meals following prescribed menus and recipes
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service efficiently
- Enjoy working with seniors to help them have an enjoyable dining experience including taking their orders and delivering their meals to them
- Willing and able to clean both the Kitchen and Dining Room which could include vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, setting up the dining room for the next meal service and cleaning the dining room after meal service, sanitizing equipment, taking out garbage/recycle and compost.
Experience:
- Prior experience as a server or in a similar role within the food industry
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and meal preparation techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Experience working in assisted living or nursing home environments is a plus
Must be able to work all shifts including weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays. You may be scheduled for any of the five different shifts.
Morning shifts start at 7:30 a.m. -1:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Day shifts start at 11:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. or 11:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Evening shift starts at 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
