Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient assessment techniques. The Dental Hygienist will work closely with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a supportive and friendly environment.

Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal treatments for patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in chairside procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and sterile environment for all procedures.
Skills and Experinece

Previous experience in a dental office is preferred, with a focus on general dentistry Knowledge of dental anatomy, infection control protocols, and dental assisting practices is essential. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Experience with Abeldent software Is licensed to work in Ontario Is computer literate and comfortable with technology (i.e. iTero, IO camera) Is fluent in English Is dynamic, energetic, and professional Has excellent organizational, communication and people skills Is self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced work environment Is reliable, dependable and a strong team player
