Stonebrook Dental currently has an exciting part-time opportunity for the dental assistant who is interested in being a key person on our clinical team. The candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive patient experience. Must be available to cover the following shifts: Tuesday 9am-7pm, Thursday 9am -7pm and 1 Saturday per month.

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow, including front desk duties when necessary. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric patients as required. Utilize CAD technology for dental procedures when applicable.

Qualifications

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of medical terminology. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic is highly desirable. Experience in orthodontics and pediatrics will be considered an asset. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort. Certification in Dental Assisting or equivalent training is preferred but not mandatory.
