Position PurposeYou create the first impression our guests have on our Brand. You demonstrate pride in our brand and drive profitability with your product and promotion knowledge, and you help our guests to complete their order, ensuring they have an incredible guest experience. You directly influence our speed of service by efficiently processing guest orders and ensuring their order was made with accuracy.Principal AccountabilitiesIn addition to following McDonald\'s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to the following:Specific Crew PositionsCashier
  • Interact with Guests in a friendly, professional, and caring manner; treat everyone with respect and courtesy and respond to their unique needs.
  • Take orders and handle cash as per McDonald\'s brand standards.
  • Recommend specific combos and menu items when appropriate.
  • Follow all food safety and HACCP standards when cooking product and preparing food.
  • Keep a clean workstation, at whatever position you are assigned to.
  • Ensure all orders are rung into the POS system correctly and that the correct tender is received.
  • Serve guests with an elevated sense of urgency ensuring speed of service standards are achieved.
  • Be organized and efficient by prioritizing properly and stocking as you go to always ensure you are Rush Ready.
  • Handle all Guest concerns using the LAST method; call a manager if you need assistance.
Drive-Thru
  • Ensure the Drive Thru Cashier area is Rush Ready before and after each meal period.
  • Greet every Guest with a big, genuine smile and a friendly greeting that is projected through the Drive thru speaker.
  • Recommend specific menu items when appropriate and/or directed by your manager.
  • Sincerely thank each Guest after completing their order.
  • Interact with Guests in a friendly, professional, and caring manner, treating everyone with respect and courtesy by catering to their individual needs.
  • Ensure all orders are accurately rung into the POS system and that the correct tender is received.
  • Serve Guests with a sense of urgency ensuring speed of service standards are being executed.
Kitchen
  • Follow all Mcdonald\xe2\x80\x99s cooking standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the quality of food is outstanding each and every time and that product is prepared quickly and efficiently with pride and attention to detail.
  • Ensure all products and supplies are well stocked to avoid running out and to support the speed of service.
  • You are responsible for cooking other menu items which must be prepared according to our cooking standards, and they must be served to our guests hot, perfectly cooked, timed and packaged.
  • Prioritize re-cooks to ensure that service errors are recovered quickly. Check fridge temperatures to ensure Guest safety.
  • Check stock levels to ensure we never run out of product.
  • Control waste and spoilage by preparing products properly, labelling correctly and storing to standard using FIFO ("First-In First-Out") rules.
  • Complete the Waste Sheet to determine trends and prevent waste from reoccurrence.
  • Keep your work area, utensils, and production equipment clean and always sanitized.
  • Maintain organization of all food storage areas and adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned.
  • Follow the correct procedures for the 3 compartments sink to make sure that all smallware\xe2\x80\x99s and utensils are safely and thoroughly washed and dried for restaurant use.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of all dish and equipment storage areas.
  • Keep the restaurant clear of debris by emptying garbage and recycling bins regularly.
Fryer
  • Our French Fries are a signature item. Your job is to make sure that they are cooked to perfection and that we never run out.
  • Ensure the fryer station is "Rush Ready" before every revenue period.
  • Perform fryer maintenance on a regular schedule.
  • A well-maintained fryer makes your job easier and safer, and it helps you produce quality menu items that meet our standards.
Grill
  • Make sure that the grill area is always "Rush Ready" before each revenue period.
  • Perform grill maintenance on a regular schedule to make your job easier and safer and to help produce quality products that meet our standards.
All Crew Positions
  • Treat all employees and managers will dignity and respect.
  • Participate in creating a positive culture of respect in the restaurant.
  • Always perform your tasks safely and to standards, and work with your team to recognize and correct unsafe practices.
  • Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures.
  • Complete all daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Be a team player and go above and beyond to support other employees when you see that they need help.
  • Have lots of fun with your team and be sure to ask for help when you need it.
  • Follow all policies and procedures. (Code of Conduct, Harassment and Bullying, etc. - see policy binder)
Health and Safety
  • Check the restaurant frequently to make sure that floors are clean and safe; clean up spills immediately and use wet floor
  • signs when applicable.
  • Stock the hand washing stations with paper towel and hand soap daily to support food safety.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the causes of food contamination and the methods of prevention and follow all food safety standards and systems.
  • Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Help keep the restaurant a safe working environment for everyone on your team.
  • Always perform your tasks safely and to standards, and work with your team to recognize and correct
  • unsafe practices.
  • Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely, using the correct procedures.
