What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Coding Instructor to join our team of dynamic, energetic, forward-thinking minds, working toward our common goal: providing a fun and safe learning environment for children. Our instructors are the means of support for our Ultimate Coders center. This individual oversees the day-to-day coaching and student engagement. Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem-solving skills in young engineering minds? Have you mentored youth? This could be the role for you.
Coding Instructor Responsibilities:
Complete training and become familiar with our curriculum
Teach classes of up to 6 students using Scratch, Python, Arduino, or Web tools
Create a safe and supportive learning environment
Engage students in hands-on coding projects that build problem-solving skills
Provide feedback to parents (especially for trial students or assessments)
Follow classroom procedures, opening/closing duties, and track attendance
Assist with special events or workshops when needed
Required Skills:
You don't need to be an expert in everything -- we value

Preferred skills:
Experience teaching or mentoring children
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Scratch (Drag and Drop Programming)
Python Programming
Arduino using C++
Web Development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
Roblox Studio (LUA)
Qualifications:
Enrolled in or graduate of a Computer Science, Engineering, or related program.
1+ year experience in teaching, tutoring, coaching or mentoring children is an asset.
Knowledgeable about coding and technology; or able to quickly pick up the basic concepts.
