Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

Laboratory Demonstrator/Instructor (multiple positions available)

WORK ASSIGNMENT: PHYT 6218.4 \xe2\x80\x93 Integrated Practice II (May 1 to June 2nd, 2023 inclusive of Exam Period)

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Numerous instructors will be required to assist the course leader by teaching practical skills and techniques in the laboratory, and/or facilitating tutorial components of this 2nd year MScPT course. Labs will run Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30-3:30 and Fridays from 8:30am-1:30pm.

Description of the duties:

o Attendance at Lab orientation session (1 hr prior to May 1st, date TBD).
o Preparation in advance for each lab and to be knowledgeable about the content provided in the lab handout.
o During labs, review and teach practical skills as outlined in the lab handout.
o Promote a professional environment for safe and effective student learning.
o The instructor will also act as an examiner in the mid-term and final practical exams and evaluate the students\xe2\x80\x99 performance throughout the course and in these exams.


Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Candidates must be licensed Physiotherapists. A Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree and /or advanced continuing education courses preferred along with strong clinical expertise.



Salary Range/Pay Rate
In accordance with CUPE agreement

All offers of employment as a Part-Time Academic are conditional upon sufficient student enrolment in the course and approval by the University.
