Job Description

Brown's Industrial has an opportunity available for a highly motivated Parts Technician. Our ideal candidate will possess knowledge, capability and expertise to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent customer service, organization and management skills.

Parts technicians manage and dispense parts inventories and are responsible for stock handling, identifying and cataloguing parts and assemblies, ordering, receiving, inspecting, sorting, or pricing and selling parts.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Maintaining parts inventory.

Sourcing parts from vendors.

Handling incoming parts inquires from internal and external customers via phone, email or in person.

Support shop/field technician with parts & materials.

Determining customer requirements and expectations to recommend specific products and solutions.

Interpret parts manuals & original equipment manufacturer (OEM) schematics and recommend alternate products based on availability or specifications.

Maintain accurate records of correspondence with customers.

Receive, unpack, and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials.

Track, receive, sort, deliver, and pick up parts.

Use electronic order system to prepare, track and complete work orders.

Accurately process customer transactions.

Role Requirements:



High school diploma: Enrollment or completion of Parts Technician Certification is an asset.

Heavy Duty or Automotive parts knowledge with minimum 2 years experience.

Strong customer service, troubleshooting and communication skills, with experience analyzing and resolving customer service and client issues.

Excellent attention to detail with a sense of urgency to meet tight deadlines

Ability to read an interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Working knowledge of safe lifting methods and ability to perform repetitive heavy lifting up to 50lbs.

Able to work efficiently and as part of a team as well as independently.

Attention to detail in all areas of work.

Exceptional organizational, time management and prioritization skills.

Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

Candidate must have a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide a clean driver's abstract.

Candidate must also pass a Drug & Alcohol Test & Physical Demand Analysis.
