Job Duties and Responsibilities
Research alternative solutions for the new part (source it from an alternative location, make it, buy it from an alternative vendor, or repair it, etc.)
Review all documentation of orders to ensure information is accurate and depicts the correct quantity of material, and perform quality check of products before signing off on packing slips;
Provide assistance to branch service technicians as required
Make inventory and bin adjustments
Obtains the information needed to place special orders and ensures that the correct parts are sent.
Exceptional Customer Service skills through creating a positive customer experience both in person and on the telephone.
Deals with returned parts and exchanges for defective parts.
Learns and effectively uses the company software systems required to fulfill the duties of a parts person
Applicants Should Have:
Previous experience in the trade
Ability to operate a forklift, pallet jacks, wheel dollies
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
Ability to lift to approx. 60 Lbs.
Must be sales driven, organized, and self-motivated
Qualifications
Minimum 2nd year Parts apprentice or 3-5 years in related work
Red Seal or HET considered an asset
Sound and current knowledge of Heavy Truck products and services
Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and presentation skills
Strong negotiation skills
Time management, prioritization, and independent critical thinking skills
Experience with Microsoft Suite an asset
