About the Job
We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic individuals to join our team in the role of Parts Supervisor.
The Parts Supervisor is a working supervisor who oversees the daily operations of the Parts Department. This role guarantees that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees, organizing workflows and maintaining regular communication with line team. In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is the first point of contact for the area and coordinates production issues between employees, the Production Manager, and both upstream and downstream departments. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. The Supervisor should be able to anticipate issues, communicate efficiently with the production manager, supervisors of other departments, and employees.
Requirements
Required: High School Diploma, Five (5) years of manufacturing experience, Intermediate computer skills.
This is a "hands on" position that requires an in-depth knowledge of health and safety procedures, quality standards and procedures, proper use of work instructions, use of tools and equipment, mechanical skills, painting, product assembly, housekeeping, and the ability to take direction is required.
This position requires the ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions while supporting team members. Demonstrates a high level of dependability, punctuality and a sense of trust and reliability. Ability to adjust and adapt to changing priorities or direction. High level of attention to detail to ensure production of consistently error-free work. A desire and drive to acquire new knowledge and skills necessary to perform job effectively.
WHMIS - preferred
Experience in metal fabrication considered an asset
C level welding ticket or equivalent considered an asset
Forklift Certification considered an asset
First Aid Certification considered an asset
