Job Description

AgCon Equipment Ltd is a leading distributor of agriculture, commercial turf and heavy-duty construction equipment.

We are looking for a full-time professional Parts Representative to run our Parts Department.

The Parts Person is responsible for a variety of duties, which includes providing price quotations, checking inventory for product availability, providing delivery dates to customers, and verifying prices. You will receive and process orders by phone, e-mail, fax or in person. The Parts Counter Person prepares and maintains sales orders, customer lists and purchase orders with receipts. The right candidate will have great attention to detail and have strong parts lookup skills via parts manuals and web based electronic catalogues.

Job Duties

Effectively handle Parts inquiries in person, by phone, or email in a timely, helpful, and effective manner Selling parts to customers and building customer relationships by correctly identifying parts needed, taking orders, creating parts and freight invoices, and collecting payment Conduct and/or support the daily functions of our parts operation, including sourcing, ordering, following- up on backorders, inventory counts, etc. Find appropriate part numbers for customers using provided catalogues, parts diagrams and schematics Provide parts for service technicians Provide price quotes Check inventory for product availability Provide delivery dates to customers and verify prices Prepares and maintains parts orders and purchase orders with receipts Assist with shipping and receiving (as required) Report discrepancies to supervisor Create purchase requisitions Maintain professional appearance
Job Requirements

Knowledge of construction, agricultural and utility equipment parts including mowers Computer literacy. Knowledge of QuickBooks would be a strong asset Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Previous experience looking up Parts is required Ability to perform under pressure Ability to effectively engage customers and staff Ability to answer the phone in a friendly and courteous manner Willingness to assist other staff as is appropriate and as workloads dictate Ability to work well with other Department, co-workers
Work environment requires some lifting (up to 50 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending, walking, and standing.

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
